Welcome to Tombstone, AZ.  Ed Schieffelin founded Tombstone in 1879.  Before he found a vein of silver near the San Pedro River, he was warned that all he would find was his tombstone.  Soon thereafter, the town would become a boomtown.  By the beginning of 1881, there were 1000 people there, and would become the seat of Cochise County within a year.
